Yesterday I was enjoying spring weather in the home base in Lauttasaari without seeing any incoming migrants. I got a couple of locals, a crow and a goosander and noticed that their flying styles are a little different.

The flight of common merganser is both strong and fast. There was enough light to freeze the bird in the picture.
